Student Opportunities

Visit the Smithsonian Office of Internships and Fellowships to explore available internships, fellowships, and independent research opportunities available through the Smithsonian. 

An open call was recently issued to Yale faculty to develop research proposals with a Smithsonian scholar to support a student research intern during 2019. The Partnership anticipates funding up to 10 proposals in 2019. UPDATE: Due to the recent government shutdown, funded research projects will now be posted by late February 2019, with a deadline to apply of March 2019. 

During Summer, 2019, the Partnership will sponsor two Yale Summer Session courses taught by Yale faculty. A visit to the Smithsonian will be part of each course’s curriculum.  Please visit the Yale Summer Session site for more information on these two courses.
